KLM Royal Dutch Airlines ordered for 4 747-400 on April 9, 1986
This is the first order 747-400 for KLM.

KLM ordered for two types of aircraft(747-400×2, 747-400M×2) Also KLM will be the first operator of 747-400M and launch costomer.

All of orders are using GE engines.

The first aircraft (PH-BFA) will be delivered on May 1989.
